Scenic LaSalle Lake in northern Minnesota LaSalle Lake history
The LaSalle Lake Estate has a unique history dating back to the 1600's. However, there have only been two owners of this scenic property since the 1930's leaving the land largely untouched and in its original scenic beauty.

LaSalle Lake was named after Rene- Robert de LaSalle, a French explorer who was the first European to travel down the Rene-Robert de LaSalleMississippi River into the Gulf of Mexico.

In 1682 LaSalle claimed all of the Mississippi River Basin including all lakes, rivers and streams that fed into the Mississippi River, for France. This area encompassed much of the western part of North America. LaSalle named this area Louisiana in honor of the king of France.

In 1803 the entire Mississippi River Basin and all the surrounding land was sold to the United States in what is now known as the Louisiana Purchase.
However, the LaSalle name continues to live on through this scenic property.

The LaSalle Lake Estate is available for private sale to an individual(s) who can appreciate the need to preserve and protect such a unique and beautiful place.
